所得を向上させ、貧困から抜け出す
人々が知識や技能を身に付けることは、自分で考え、行動し、リスクを避け、そして様々チャンスを掴み取る為に非常に重要だ。質の高い教育や職業訓練を誰もが受けれるようになれば、働き甲斐のアル職を得ることが出来（SDGs目標８）、所得を向上させ、貧困から抜け出すことができる可能性がある（SDGs目標１）。
また病気を予防し、日々を健康に過ごす為に行動を起こすこともできるだろう（SDGs目標２及び３）。それだけでなく、仕事の効率や生活を飛躍的に便利にする技術やサービスを生み出し（SDDGs目標９）、エネルギー使用量やゴミを減らし（SDGs目標7と12）、森林や海など自然環境を守るための工夫や行動を起こすこともできる（SDGs目標14と15）。
このように、教育や職業訓練に関する取り組みを推進することは、他のSDGsを達成するためにも必要不可欠だと言える。
教育や職業訓練に関しては、SDGｓ目標４「すべての人々への、包括的かつ公正な質の高い教育を提供し、生涯教育の機会を促進する」には合致するが、ターゲットを個別に見ると８・６や１０・２などにも職業訓練に関する記載がある。ここでは企業がビジネスとして取り組む観点から、ターゲット４・１、４・３、４・４、４・５、８・６、そして１０・２に関する事例を取り上げよう。
Raise your income and escape poverty
It is extremely important for people to acquire knowledge and skills in order to think and act independently, avoid risks, and seize various opportunities. If everyone has access to high-quality education and vocational training, they will be able to obtain rewarding part-time jobs (SDGs Goal 8), improve their incomes, and potentially escape poverty ( SDGs goal 1).
They will also be able to take action to prevent illness and live a healthy life (SDGs Goals 2 and 3). In addition, we will create technologies and services that dramatically improve work efficiency and make life more convenient (SDDGs Goal 9), reduce energy consumption and waste (SDGs Goals 7 and 12), and protect the natural environment such as forests and oceans. (SDGs 14 and 15).
In this way, it can be said that promoting initiatives related to education and vocational training is essential to achieving other SDGs.
Regarding education and vocational training, it is consistent with SDG 4, “Provide inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all,” but when looking at the targets individually, There are also descriptions of vocational training in 8.6 and 10.2. Here, we will take up examples related to targets 4.1, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 8.6, and 10.2 from the perspective of companies working on them as a business.
